Grid of Points is more brighter compared to its previous sister album Ruins, yet the album still feels very dark, possibly caused by Liz’s inhuman ability to make the calming sound disturbingly beautiful. Every moment on here, yes that’s including that ending to Breathing, makes me feel so emotional in different ways, but Driving specifically has such a punch to it like no other. alicedreadfuls
This album has musical structures analogous to architectural modes of an alternate human species and a geometry system similar to the constructs in my dreams. I restricted myself to not learning more about Pulse Emitter for months, not intentionally, because I only wanted to explore the themes of this album. I was a 4th party observing (via lucid astral projection) the alien Mediterranean society and their escheresque lifestyle, hesitant to move too quickly as if I'd break the portal projection. Philip K.
